Introduction
The AGT has one simple recommended process for quickly surveying a system, jumping to a next system, and repeat. This process gives you the chance to quickly claim systems, name them, capture all the necessary info in screenshots for documenting them and moving on.
This process is not focused on planet exploration, although it will allow you to capture the basic information related to planet claiming and documentation.
The workflow is focused heavily on collecting screenshots (SS) in a proper and highly efficient sequence using a freighter/capital ship. You want to avoid triggering constant time consuming freighter battles, and they wont happen if you use a freighter instead of a starship to warp into systems.
What This Process Does NOT Cover
You will note that I do not normally:
These are all nice to do if you want to log the upgrades modules for sale in a space station or see planets. Those are nice to have, and its great some of you do it, but generally I want to cover 20 systems in an hour, flying in and out of the freighter is time consuming. This process described below takes me 2-3 mins per system, generates about 20 screenshots or more depending on how many planets there are in the system. You only need to stop for a short delay every so often to make more warp fuel but otherwise its just a rip through the systems.
Preparing Your Freighter
This process requires you to have a freighter with a planetary scanner room. You should organize your freighter like so:
